An Alternative Look at Black History through Music

From the inception of African-American Slavery in the American Colonies to the
Black Lives Matter Movement in the American Present, many historic events have been represented falsely, or, more often than not, misconstrued. This series of talks will be a chronological fresh look at some of the milestones in American Black History, revisiting things as they actually happened, naming names, and offering often suppressed narratives. It will show how the spirit of the Underground Railroad lives on, tracing the changes that occurred in American Music through its Black Exponents.
